October Updates - Almost at 50 Patients

The DePPaRT study has come a long way in the past few months. At 48 patients total, we have now surpassed the number enrolled in the DDePICt pilot study and are only 2 patients away from our next major milestone.

A big thanks to our stellar team in Prague who have now enrolled almost half of all our patients (21 in total, as of today), and our outstanding coordinator Lori Hand from Hamilton who has bravely delved into new territory to enrol our first few DCD patients (3 in total!) and stayed up until all hours of the night to make sure we captured the waveform data. Thank you Lori for being so dedicated!

We are also excited to have St. Michael’s Hospital and London Health Sciences Centre open as active sites this month, and the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax begin to ramp up the startup process.

For more information about the latest DePPaRT study updates, please visit our updates page.

The DDePICt research team has been collaborating this month with the DAL lab at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and our site lead and biomed teams at SickKids hospital to put together an application for a 2015-2016 Innovation Grant to look at pediatric-specific outcomes. Hopefully more information to come soon if we are accepted for funding!
