November Updates - Challenges to Enrollment, but Study Progressing

11/27/2015

We were pleased to reach and surpass our major milestone of 50 patients this month - enrolment is now at 58 patients!
Despite this success, enrolment has been slower this month due to some unforeseen challenges at several of our Canadian sites, including staffing issues and technical problems with waveform collection.

We plan to address these challenges before the New Year and we are planning a conference call for all site investigators for early in the New Year to discuss study progress and next steps.

For more detailed information on study progress, check out the latest update report on our
study progress page.

DePPaRT study on track; 50th patient enrolled in Prague

11/11/2015

We are pleased to announce that the DePPaRT study has, as of this week, enrolled the 50th patient! Our total count is now at 51 patients - that's 51 deaths in ICU where families made the generous decision to allow us to use the patient's data to improve our knowledge of the physiology of dying, and help to influence organ donation policy.

Thank you to all our consenting families, hard working and cooperative bedside staff, and of course our site study teams who are making this study happen through consistent screening, consenting, and data collection!!
