Happy New Year! We are starting the new year off with fantastic news! It is my great pleasure to introduce to you our newest DePPaRT team member: Amanda Van Beinum.

Amanda is joining the team as our new Central Research Coordinator. Amanda has an MSc. in clinical epidemiology (her thesis work included using the DDePICt pilot study data to examine the process of withdrawal of life support in the ICU) and has experience assisting with the coordination of industry and academic initiated critical care trials in the adult ICU. She also has experience managing a large, interdisciplinary, CIHR-funded research network (the Canadian Vascular Network).

The position of Central Research Coordinator is one that is crucial to the success of the study and despite the fact that Amanda just started working with us this week, we are very confident that she will excel in her new role. Amanda will be contacting our DePPaRT study sites soon to update you on study progress and to discuss development of individualized plans to move the study forward at each site.
